Giving Gratitude To A Supportive Community

Photo #1: Kaine poses for a portrait to start off the Easter Celebration on April 23rd, 2011 at Chute park in Hillsboro. Kaine planned this all free event as a gift to the community for being so supportive and giving in this heart wrenching search for his son, Kyron Horman, who has been missing for almost a year now.

Photo #2: Volunteers and close friends take a picture with Kaine so a couple of people could get pictures of him and his support team.

Photo #3: A local news caster interviews Kaine to get updates on how the search is going. "There are no new leads on who could have taken him, all we can do is stay hopeful and keep his face out there, to keep reminding people that Kyron is still missing." Kaine tells the news caster.

Photo #4: The Easter Bunny has been replaced. A son of a close friend agreed to be the frog mascot for the day. The Red Eyed Tree Frog was kyrons favorite, so in honor of him, they had one join the party instead.

Photo #5: A great turnout for this easter event! Alot of people from all the local cities came and had fun in the sun. Kaine was very glad that Oregon picked that one day to be sunny.

Photo #6: The search and rescue team came and demonstrated a few techniques on what they do on a daily bases while searching for lost children.

Photo #7: Great things can come from devastation. After news came out about kyron missing right from his own school, parents begin to worry about their child dissapearing and not having any indication of what they look like. Now, a local team has kids give fingerprints incase of emergency.

Photo #8: Break time. Kaine and a son of a volunteer play football to take a break from interviews and the crowding public.

Photo #9: Kaine shows off his pretty, pink ball that a child gave to him as a present to make him feel better. It seemed to lift his spirits a little bit, as you can see.

Photo #10: All smiles towards the end of the day. Everyone was so pleased with the beautiful weather and how many people showed up in support of Kyron Horman.

The Infamous Council Meeting

Photo#1: Do you know who our Mayor is? Tualatins Mayor, Lou Ogden, waits patiently while two councils sort out paper, preparing for the Infamous Council Meeting on March, 12th, 2011. They hold a meeting every second and last monday of each month.

Photo#2: Cheesy always wins! Mayor Lou's picture sits on the wall right outside the room that the meeting is held. I say we are in good hands by the looks of that portrait.

Photo#3: Be there or be square. A local Tualatin citizen watches intently while council, Kim Beickman, talks about the recent earthquake in Japan and how it could be effecting us. "Be prepared for whatever comes our way Tualatin." Kim says to the group.

Photo#4: Looky what we have here! Our very own Tualatin High School student, Sam B., waits nervously for his chance to approach the Mayor about recent events at Tualatin High.

Photo#5: Brave, young souls. Three students from Tualatins civics(?) class take their turn in presenting to the Mayor. They explain all of our recent events and explain how well we are all doing. The mayor was really excited about students being at the meeting to begin with, so he was very supportive.

Photo#6: Your turn. A representitive from Tualatin Library shares recent news on how they are doing and what he could do to help. He liked her ideas but they needed to think it over.

Photo#7: Relax Mrs.Library. The Mayor talks it over with the council president and after a few nerve wracking seconds they tell her it sounded great and she was very relieved.
Photo#8: No funny business people. Local Tualatin police man watches out for anybody that looks suspicious while waiting for his turn to present to the Mayor. He did a pretty fine job, everyone made it out happy, informed and alive.

Photo#9: Got Drugs? Mr. Policeman shares recent donating oppurtunites where people can dispose of old prescription drugs laying around the house to help seperate trash from harmfull chemicals.
Photo#10:Copy Cat. One of the 'head men' of these meetings helps watch out for people and make sure everything is running smoothly. Their team work made it go as smooth as butter.

The Decisive Moment

I like this photo the best because it shows the contrast of it being a kid while also wearing adult clothes that are too big for her. It shows that some kids want to be just like their parents, and grow up too fast. Also that when people get older they want to be younger and most kids want to be older so they can do more.
